The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
C.S. Lewis was born 125 years ago in Belfast and died in 1963 aged 65. He is probably most famous for writing this children's book. That was the first fantasy novel in the series of 7 books, "The Chronicles of Narnia."
It tells of 4 children who enter a wardrobe leading into the magical land of Narnia. It was made into a Disney film in 2005.

Did You Know?
The well was first dressed in 1915 by Erle Kingston. It was first floodlit from 1939. The well was not dressed from 1940 until the end of the Second World War. The main well was the only well dressed in Barlow in 1941.

The Small Well is also known locally as the Children’s Well, as it was once the well that was dressed by local children, it was first dressed in 1915 by Erle Kingston.

The Small Well dressers and trustees meet together early in the year to discuss and decide on the theme for the picture.

This year the money raised from donations will go to Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation and local Church.
